How we work

Our Rating Methodology

CryptoCardsPerks is an independent comparison resource for crypto debit and prepaid cards that let you spend cryptocurrency or a crypto-funded balance anywhere standard cards are accepted. We track 32 cards, compare them using the same criteria, and score them consistently based on cashback, fees, supported countries, custody, and more. Our goal is to help you find the card that best fits where you live and how you spend, with a transparent methodology you can trust.

Where our data comes from

For every card we list, we build the profile from primary, publicly available sources rather than second-hand summaries:

From these sources we record the attributes shown across the site: whether the card offers cashback, whether a physical card is available alongside the virtual one, support for Apple Pay and Google Pay, the custody model (custodial, where the provider holds funds, versus self-custodial, where you do), the verification/KYC requirements, and the countries where the card is available.

Crypto-card products change constantly — providers adjust cashback tiers, add or drop country support, and revise fees with little warning. So we treat every listing as something to maintain, not finish: we date our reviews and re-check them rather than assuming today's details hold forever.

How we score cards

Every card receives a single overall score out of 10. That number isn't arbitrary, it reflects how the card performs across four factors we weigh consistently for every product, so a score means the same thing from one card to the next.

Factor 01

Rewards

The cashback rate, how it is actually paid (stablecoin, the provider's token, or points), how the tiers are structured, and how realistic the top rate is to reach.

Factor 02

Fees & costs

Monthly or subscription fees, foreign-exchange and spending fees, and top-up or withdrawal costs. Low, transparent costs score better.

Factor 03

Access & availability

How many countries the card supports and how straightforward it is to sign up and start spending. Wider, easier access scores higher.

Factor 04

Features & flexibility

Whether there is a physical card, which mobile wallets are supported, the custody model, and how flexible the verification requirements are.

We apply these four factors the same way across the entire catalogue, which is what makes the rankings comparable rather than a matter of opinion. When a card genuinely stands out, unusually high cashback, exceptionally wide availability, or a strong all-round combination, it shows up both in its score and in the “Market Leaders” highlights on our home page.

Verification & freshness

Every review carries a “verified” date the point at which we last checked that card's details against the provider's own sources. It is shown openly so you can judge how current the information is rather than taking it on faith.

We re-review cards on a rolling basis and whenever we become aware of a meaningful change, a new cashback structure, a country added or dropped, a fee change. If you ever see a detail that looks out of date, it usually means the provider altered something after our last check, and that is exactly the kind of thing we want flagged so we can update it.

Estimated vs. verified figures

We are transparent about what we verify versus what is reported by others.

Card features, fees and limits are recorded from official sources and verified per the date on each review. A few figures, such as user counts or spending volume come from providers or third parties and are clearly labelled “as reported”.

This is the part we most want to be straight about. We draw a clear line between what we have verified and what is reported by others, and we label figures accordingly wherever they appear:

If a figure isn't labelled “as reported”, it is drawn from our verified card data.

Independence & affiliate links

CryptoCardsPerks is free to use, and we keep it running partly through referral and affiliate links. If you sign up for a card through one of our links, we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you.

Here is the important part: this never affects how a card is scored or where it ranks. Rankings are decided solely by the four scoring factors above. A provider cannot pay to rank higher, to score better, or to be listed at all, and a commercial relationship never changes our assessment of a card's strengths or weaknesses. We disclose affiliate links openly because your trust depends on knowing the difference between editorial judgement and commercial arrangement, and on us keeping the two apart.

Hi, I'm Daniyal. For the past four years, I've been testing crypto cards myself. I sign up, complete KYC, fund the cards, and use them in real-world situations to see how they actually perform. I created CryptoCardsPerks to share honest reviews, real experiences, and practical comparisons, so you can find the right crypto card without wasting time or money.

Every card on CryptoCardsPerks is reviewed and maintained by Daniyal Rehman. Each listing carries a “Reviewed by” byline and a verified date so you always know who stands behind the assessment and when it was last checked.

Corrections

We work to keep every listing accurate, but the crypto-card market moves quickly and mistakes can slip through. If you believe any information on the site is wrong or out of date, please tell us through our contact options. We review what is reported and update content when we find an error or when a reader points one out. Keeping this site accurate matters more to us than keeping it unchanged — corrections are welcome.
